CULTURE CENTRE:
We Did Not Withdraw, But Sold out the Book
ZAGREB, CROATIA – The Cultural Centre of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran reacted to articles in some media that the book “International Jew” was withdrawn from their stand at the international book fair Interliber in Zagreb because of some pressures on Thursday afternoon. The book “International Jew” was written in 1920 by Henry Ford, the founder of the Ford Motor Company and the Iranians issued a reprint of the book in 1997.
The book has raised great interest of visitors and all copies were sold in the first two days of the fair. Despite the great interest and numerous questions, the Iranian Cultural Centre stand no longer has the books, says a statement from the Iranian Cultural Centre.
The content of the book has no negative connotations towards the Jewish faith, the statement continues.
The news about the demand made to the exhibitor of the stand of the Iranian Cultural Centre is contrary to principles of the freedom of speech and writing, which is especially surprising in an independent country, Croatia, which is very proud of these principles, the centre said.
The Israeli embassy in Zagreb on Thursday informed Interliber’s project team about the book being sold on the Iranian stand. :jew:
The book “International Jew” consists of 16 chapters and each chapter begins with a quotation from the Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion. The Iranian publisher wrote in the foreword that they published the book to warn of the danger of Jews who want to establish a sur-government and rule mankind through monetary institutions.
