The Orthodox church admits adding "filioque" to the creed isn't really heretical and the Catholics admit the Pope isn't really infallible.
What else is there to argue about? Icons vs. statuary?
Incidentally I converted to Orthodoxy rather than Catholicism on theological grounds. I have a small problem with the papal primacy/infallibility thing and don't believe in original sin. I feel kind of odd though being Irish-American Orthodox and I just wish we could put all this unpleasantness behind us.
