Religious life in Norway during the last 20-30 years has become much more heterogeneous than it ever has been. This is principally due to the influx of immigrants from Islamic and Catholic countries. The combined Muslim and Catholic population of Norway has soared by an incredible 933% in a single generation (since 1980).

Official figures, by year:

1970
Catholics – 9,000 (0.23%)
Muslims – N/A

1980
Catholics – 14,000 (0.34%)
Muslims – 1,000 (0.03%)
Total: 15,000 (0.37% of total)

1990
Catholics – 27,000 (0.64%)
Muslims – 19,000 (0.45%)
Total: 45,000 (1.09% of total)

2000
Catholics – 41,000 (0.92%)
Muslims – 62,000 (1.38%)
Total: 103,000 (2.30% of total)

2006
Catholics – 50,000 [est.] (1.08%)
Muslims – 90,000 [est.] (1.95%)
Total: 140,000 (3.04% of total)

The other 97% of the population:
85% State Church (Lutheran)
4% Other Protestant
1.5% Belong to Human-Etisk Forbund (Humanist Association)
0.5% Other religions (Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Orthodox)
6% No Religious Affiliation

Wow, the muslims in Norway went up significantly between 1990 and 2000 and seem to be at an exponential growth from looking at 2000 to 2006. Are they mainly immigrants or born in Norway?

Are they mainly immigrants or born in Norway?70-75% of the Muslims are foreign-born with almost all the rest being children of foreign-born. There is a big discrepancy in birth rates too, so a part of the growth is from those born in Norway. See here:

Here is some other figures for comparison:

Sweden
Catholics – 144,000 (1.60%)
Muslims – 350,000 (3.89%)
Total: 494,000 (5.49% of total)

Denmark
Catholics – 36,000 (0.67%)
Muslims – 180,000 (3.33%)
Total: 216,000 (3.98% of total)

Finland
Catholics - 8,000 (0.15%)
Muslims - 20,000 (0.39%)
Total: 28,000 (0.54% of total)

Iceland
Catholics – 5,800 (1.93%)
Muslims – 800 (0.27%)
Total: 6,600 (2.20% of total)

So of the three main Scandinavian countries, Norway is in best shape with the lowest Catholic & Muslim percentage (3%), Denmark is in the middle (4%), Sweden is in worst shape (5.5%). Denmark has by far the lowest Catholics percentage though, I dont know what that's about

What can I say other than Europe needs some big-time ethnic cleansing. Self-defense by any means necessary, as Malcolm would say.
