DUBLIN – Anti-war protesters hurled shoes and eggs at Tony Blair on Saturday as he held the first public signing of his fast-selling memoir.

Scores of demonstrators chanted that Blair had "blood on his hands" as the former British prime minister arrived at a Dublin book store. A shoe, eggs and other projectiles were thrown toward Blair as he emerged from a car, but did not hit him. A flip-flop could be seen lying on the roof of a BMW in Blair's motorcade.
Security was tight for the signing, with book buyers — who appeared to outnumber the 200 or so protesters — told to hand over bags and mobile phones before entering Eason's book store.
Some of the protesters, who were held behind barricades, scuffled with police, and there were at least two arrests.
Blair spent about two hours in the store before emerging to more shouts and hurled eggs. He was quickly driven away.

It is right and good that they did this. The only way status hungry freaks like Blair can be blocked from holding important positions of power is through such expressions of public disapproval. The back room boys in all political parties must be made to learn from Tony Blair and George W's lesson. They need to be shown that having such strange and incomplete humans as in the top job is unacceptable and will cost a political party deeply.

I doubt much of the anger directed at Tony was directed at him as a Brit, they were rightly angry at him for his key role in the devastation of Iraq.
What British Empire are you referring to in any case?

Parts of my extended family are Irish and Welsh and I myself have distant relatives that perished in the Firebombing of Dresden...
I consider anything outside of England Proper to be part of the 'British Empire': Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales belong in that category and are oppressed zones that need to be freed from perfidious Albion.

What does any of this have to do with anything?

You asked 'What British Empire' was I referring too.
Answer: that would include the Anglo-Saxons holdings in Northern Ireland, Scotland, and Wales and these zones need to be liberated from Ango-kind.

Ah I see, you are an idiot. I'm sorry I wasted both your time and mine. Please continue without me.

Sometimes the Truth hurts:
Rothschild, the "venerable MP," as the English press calls him, took the floor and delivered a tear-jerker bemoaning the fate of the Polish Jews.
At the end of the session the Commons observed a minute of silence. All members of Parliament rose from their seats as a silent tribute to Jewry. That was quite appropriate for the British House of Commons, which is really a sort of Jewish exchange. The English, anyway, are the Jews among the Aryans.
The perfumed British Foreign Minister, Eden, cuts a good figure among these characters from the synagogue. His whole education and his entire bearing can be characterized as thoroughly Jewish.
