Artillery logs are not needed – the Americans can prove whether Knin was excessively shelled
If the Hague tribunal wants to make a fair verdict against Croatian general Ante Gotovina, who is charged for “excessive shelling of Knin”, it will take an image taken from the plane E-8, 31. squadron of the U.S. Army, which provided air support for the UNPROFOR, which was probably filming the complete battlefield of Knin during Operation Storm, with all missiles that were fired from the Croatian and Serbian sides.
They do not need the artillery log files – confirmes Nediljko Pušić, retired Army officer, a former member of the fourth Guards Brigade and participant in the military operation Storm, which was commanded by General Ante Gotovina. Nediljko Pušić is famous for his elaboration of the causes of “Kornati tragedy” (explosives of dropped NATO missiles after the bombing of Serbia).
Magnetometer ‘sees’ everything
A lawyer by profession, Pušić has carried out his own private investigation, gathered extensive documentation and sent these, along with explanation notes, to general Ante Gotovina to Hague, already by the 30th June, this year. He has never, he says, received any acknowledgement, or whatever sign that Gotovina had received the dispatch. He has therefore decided to inform the public about everything, as, he says, a kind of congratulation to General Gotovina for the holidays.
What exactly has the retired Croatian officer discovered? – The Plane E-8, whose function is to control the battlefield, is making a multi-spectral condition on the battlefield from movements of people, vehicles and techniques, and positions. It can determine where the missiles were launched from, even where the pipes were turned to, and on this basis to determine the potential targets. This plane – said Pušić – was the 31st Squadron of the U.S. Army having, it arrived first to Avignano in April 1994 and remained until 15 May 2003, I have learnt from one of the declassified documents of the U.S. Army.
Therefore – concludes Pušić – in spite of that the involvement of this aircraft in operation Storm is not included within the data sheet of this aircraft, although it is referred to Kosovo, Bosnia, Desert Storm, Afghanistan – there is no doubt that in August 1995 during the military operation for the liberation of Knin, E-8 performed surveillance of the area from the air. For retired officers from the city of Split, the State’s evidence for this is the fact that the factory brochures of E-8 are illustrated with maps and pictures are et al from Croatian areas – Dubrovnik, Knin, the Adriatic Sea.
Why are there not any pictures from Afghanistan or Kosovo, rhetorically asks Pušić, convinced that the U.S. Air Force recorded right out of the said aircraft the complete process of operation Storm. – If this is true, then even without the artillery log files it is known, on which targets it was shelled, how many and what kind of missiles were fired at Knin. But if you claim that E-8 was not recording operation Storm, they can prove even today with the help of the detector, that registers changes (anomalies) in the magnetic field of the earth.
Such a device – says Pušić – can be put as an option on any plane, even at Canadair. With the help of magnetometers revealing with a probability over 95 percent, the amount, location and type of fired missiles, artillery -, tank -, mortar – or aviation bombs. They have the ability to determine where there are even unexploded shells, and can be successfully used in the demining of minefields. – And now it could be taken on to the Knin area for such a detection and to determine precisely how many shells fell on Knin.
Retired Army officer Pušić claims how the recordings made by the E-8 (below) 15 years ago could help Gotovina, but also the Hague prosecution, in order to establish the truth about the liberation of Knin. If there could be put pressure on the Croatian government to the limit on behalf of the mysterious artillery logs, it could be done as well on the U.S. government, that has the E-8 at its disposal, or any of the Canadian, French, German governments, who posess these mentioned detectors for alterations on a mine field, and within a couple of hours we would have a complete record, hence the truth about “excessive shelling” of Knin – Pušić says with a touch of provocation.
It is notorious, as our conversation partner notes at the end of this interesting story, that there is only military technology to be sold, that has been proven in military operations. And E-8 is advertised on factory brochures with photographs from Croatia: from Dubrovnik, Knin, the Adriatic Sea … Have they been on a panoramic, tourist flight over Croatia?
Detectors in the building
Only one commercial company (not a State’s institution) in England executed field surveys before the construction of real estates. – With such a detector – explains Pušić – they are revealing where the shells fell in the Second World War. So, after 70 years.
It just means that the amount of missiles which were thrown at Knin during operation Storm in 1995, are able to be literally counted now and tomorrow, but also in some 70 years! The only question is, do they really want to know the truth about the shelling of Knin and are they afraid that someone would hence be asking then the recording of the fired missiles at Vukovar …
