-Magic Mojo: Ritual Drug Use.
This article will be dealing with what seems to be an unbalanced and often misunderstood subject: ritual drug use and the why behind it. There seems at this point to be two camps: one is totally anti-drug and the other pro. A lot of the anti-drug sentiment seems to come from a more reactionary attitude to observation of the current climate of drug abuse today and possibly the Judeo-Christian attitudes that still linger. And no doubt there are also the elements of the pro-drug side that want an excuse to engage in recreational drug usage. The reality is our ancestors used drugs during rituals.
Our bodies are complex electromagnetic systems or batteries if you will. All magic works with energy. The more energy one has the more powerful one’s ability. I will not go into the different types of drugs here, but needless to say the ritual drug does two main things: it puts your mind into a natural deep trance (which is important for magic workings) and it gives the body a powerful energy rise, like pouring nitro into a fuel tank. When in an alpha state, the gates to the spiritual realm open to us. When in a deep trance state (Theta), our ability to contact the spiritual realm is the strongest, like opening a door to the other side. This adds much more power to the energy being directed into the workings of the ritual. Needless to say, if you decide to use ritual drugs, use your commonsense. Also, stay away from lab-made drugs; look into the natural drugs our ancestors used. It is your body and do not be stupid about it.
There are also drug-free ways to achieve these goals for ritual use. One is to eat as much raw fruits and vegetables as possible while eating as little as next to no cooked food at all as it is acidic and energy destroying. Natural food is packed full of healthy natural energy. Also exercise in the form of Yoga and breathing exercises, this will piss the prudes, sexual orgasm will help relax the body enough that mediation will induce you into a trance. Also, sexual energy can be direct for workings as it is powerful like rocket fuel of the soul, but this is more of another topic.
