In an interview with the BBC, the editor of Germany's largest Jewish publication has stated his unequivocal support for the presence of the Iranian National Football Team (Team Melli) in the forthcoming world cup now less than 4 weeks away.

In his interview he stressed that there is no question of banning Iran form the world cup. He said that Iran has qualified on merit, is a good footballing nation and the action of their president has nothing to do with sportsmen.

In another interview, Germany's hardline Chancellor, Mrs Merkel also put her weight behind the Iranian Team by providing full support for the presence of Team Melli.

A group of European MPs had voiced their concern and wanted Iran banned from the wrold cup. The question I ask is 'could these people be described as sad little nobodies who are trying to make name for themselves after a disasterous stint in Eyropean politics by clinging to any cheap little stunt?'

Well I for one think so.
