Definitely beautiful, but it needs some trees! I wouldn't, however, mind visiting--I'm sure it's one of the few nations left with a distinct culture and national identity. Most of these countries tend to be islands, I've noticed.

Well, there was this self-proclaimed WN activist named "Vikebe Ostergard" who claimed to be a mayoral candidate in the Faroes who posted long boring manifestoes on how to reclaim the West by building your own house, designing your own cars, wearing homemade ethnic garb and dancing folk dances like a loon, etc etc. Then he pretended to be his own son who claimed that "Dad" had been beaten nearly to death by Italian anti-racists while walking down la strada with a minor dago nationalist, and had to have emergency brain surgery, eat through a straw, "please pray for him", etc, etc. The "minor dago nationalist" supposedly died of his injuries.

Not long afterwards, "Vikebe" aka Triskelion returned, miraculously recovered, with more boring position papers on how to create your own volkish society.

The upshot was this all turned out to be a sham: no such person ever existed, it was all the make-believe wishful thinking of a minor WN nutjob from Ohio whose prior claim to fame had been arranging sex cruises for pervs and pederasts to Thailand and other Asian backwaters where dogs are for eating, and kids are for fucking.

So anytime I see "Faroe Islands" now, I tune out.

Damn! I'm pretty sure I remember that Vibeke incident, and that people on Stormfront were saying that they were in contact with him etc. Was the hoax that far-flung?

Ah yes, the Vibeke Ostergaard saga is coming back now in my hazy memory. Unfortunately there are no photos in the google cache. I was quite impressed when I read it first, about 5 years ago, and I suppose I saved it somewhere.

If I'm not mistaken it was that old sleuth Fade who looked at VO's IP-number and saw it originated from New Mexico or some other place that isn't really a part of the Faroe islands.

I have been interested in the Faroe Islands for quite some time. I'd love to take a trip there soon. The landscape is gorgeous. Looks like it may even eclipse the Icelandic scenary. I wanted to go while I was in Iceland, but it would have been too expensive to take a flight to Tórshavn from Reykjavik. :(

Their language is quite interesting too. Looks exactly like Icelandic, but they do not have the þ in their alphabet. I tried to find some books on the language, but I couldn't find one. Not even on the interweb!!! I do however, have a sweet Faroese flag on the front of my car. :p
