It would be good to have a link describing what each theory is.
Creation via big bang--the two are not mutually exclusive.
How does chaos theory describe the origin of the world?

I believe The Big Bang theory is best accepted by scholars and scientists. Stephen Hawking mentions that theory in his books quite often, but as any theory, it may be challenged.
I guess, who knows, we might never really know for sure how the universe originated.

Don't you mean the origin of the Universe(s)?
However, since Time is without Beginning nor End, the last Big Bang merely resulted in the current manifestation of Totality. It was preceded by a Big Crunch, a harmonic behavior that affirms the cyclical Nature of Time.
This is not to say that Newtonian physics (i.e. the Three Laws of Motion and the Laws of Thermodynamics) hold up at every level (which they don't, as evidenced by non-deterministic activity in quantum physics), but I believe that the First Law of Thermodynamics explains quite well why this necessarily must be the case, and there is no evidence to prove otherwise. (How could there be!?)
Red shift will become blue shift, and sooner or later, this string of events we call Reality will be rolled back up into a tightly wound ball, only to become dispersed once more. There is beauty in it, I think!

Time and space emerged from the initial singularity. Whatever initiated the Big Bang was timeless and spaceless, and immensely powerful.

What planet are you on, Michaelis?

Are we talking about earth here, or the laws of physics?
