There were large concentrations of Nazis in Argentina, Brazil and several other countries. To this day there are still large communities of German people in many parts of South and Central America.
The book "Grey Wolf" is an excellent read as is "Escape From The Bunker" by Harry Cooper. Both put forth interesting theories and possibilities. Thought I doubt the real truth will ever be settled upon.
