Anthony Beevor has written on Russia's war 41-45, mostly Stalingrad ( 42-43) and Berlin(45).
He is largely correct, Putin is now considering taking command himself - his generals having failed him ....does this sound like Stalin in 41 and Adolf in 41-45 ?
If the tide of this "SMO" turns against him how will he deal with it after all he can't be seen to lose and it places him in a hard and dangerous position.
